Expanded Draught, in conjunction with Pinecone Gallery is Paducah, KY, is now accepting entries for their international juried exhibition, JOINT EFFORT. Expanded Draught invites other artistic collaborators – collaborative groups, collectives, art-making duos and the alike – to apply for this unique exhibition highlighting the art of collaboration.
Contemporary and innovative works created with two or more artists in collaboration are welcome. JOINT EFFORT is open to all artists 18 years and over working in any medium or combination of mediums including but not limited to drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture (in any material), ceramics, digital media, video and performance. All work submitted must be original, completed in the last three years and not previously exhibited at Pinecone Gallery or in an Expanded Draught project. There are no size restrictions, but artists/collaborators should understand that shipping and any associated fees are the responsibility of the artist/collaborative group. Up to 3 entries per collaborative group with an entry fee of $10 per piece. Each entry may include up to 3 views or details shots of piece. In addition to being displayed at Pinecone Gallery, all selected artworks will be featured in on online gallery at expandeddraught.com

ABOUT EXPANDED DRAUGHT:
Expanded Draught is an international artist collective founded in Galway city in 2006. From Galway, it has expanded to Dublin, England, Canada, Korea, America: Maryland, Texas, Kentucky, Arkansas, Missouri, Louisiana, Ohio, New york, Colorado, Tennessee, Oregon, and Georgia. We have exhibited collaboratively in both America (LA and KY) and Ireland. Our aim is to continue our expansion and to show our work further afield. We are committed to the support of artists in the creation of high quality dynamic art works. We promote collaboration and the sharing of information, skills and knowledge through a series of workshops, talks, discussions and exhibitions.
We aspire to create a platform for diverse artists to showcase their work and form relationships with artists from various countries around the world, creating large scale individual /collaborative works, interactive and inclusive projects using both unconventional and conventional spaces.
Expanded Draught currently has 23 members. Each member offers a wide range of knowledge in terms of material fabrication and perspectives on concept. One of our primary aims is to create partnerships between 3rd level educational institutions and the Expanded Draught art collective to develop a program of lectures, tutorials and workshops to interact and share knowledge with young artists and students. Creating a comfortable environment for both art students and the public to share skill sets and information.

Allison Regan is a contemporary visual artist, curator, and teacher based in Galway, Ireland. She is a Fine Art graduate of Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology and received her MFA in Studio Art from Louisiana State University in 2011. She has served on the boards of a number of key Galway arts organizations including 126 Gallery Galway, TULCA Festival of visual art and ADAPT Galway. Allison has exhibited her work, both nationally and internationally, showing as an individual artist and collaboratively as part of Expanded Draught.
Joanne Dolan is Visual Artist working in Galway. She graduated with a BA in Printmaking from the Cluain Mhuire School of Art and Design in 2006. Her practice since graduating has been primarily based in drawing. Joanne is a co-founder of Expanded Draught and has been heavily involved in all of the collectives projects both here in ireland and in the USA. She has exhibited as in individual in group and solo shows in Ireland. She is a part time teacher teaching various Life and observational drawing classes in Galway city. She was also accepted into The Leonardo da Vinci Programme funded by Leargas, and spent 3 weeks working in the Pori Contemporary art Museum in Pori, Finland in 2010.
Lindsey Maestri is an artist, curator and arts administrator based in Paducah, KY. She spent two years as the Exhibitions and Programs Manager at Tennessee Tech University’s Appalachian Center for Craft before accepting her current position as Executive Director at the Yeiser Art Center. Prior to her shift into arts administration, she was an adjunct instructor at several institutions including Houston Community College, Murray State University and University of Tennessee, Martin. Maestri earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ceramics and Art Education from the University of Arkansas and her Master of Fine Arts in Studio Arts from Louisiana State University. In addition to her personal studio practice, she also serves as a board member and collaborator with the international artist collective Expanded Draught.
